TCR provided comprehensive educational support to over 3,000 students, aimed at improving retention, academic performance, and successful transition to higher education or the labor market. Currently the program covers school fees and supplies essential learning materials to remove financial barriers for 1200 students.
Our Secondary Education Program is designed to address the critical transition period between childhood and adulthood, ensuring that talented students from vulnerable backgrounds can complete their secondary education and successfully transition to higher education or the workforce.
Secondary education is a pivotal stage where many students from disadvantaged backgrounds face significant barriers, including financial constraints, lack of academic support, and limited guidance for future pathways. Our program tackles these challenges through a holistic approach that combines financial support with comprehensive academic and personal development initiatives.
We work closely with secondary schools and local Leaders across Rwanda to identify academically promising students who would otherwise be unable to continue their education due to financial hardship. Through our comprehensive support system, we ensure these students not only complete their secondary education but also develop the skills and confidence needed to pursue their dreams.
Our comprehensive approach addresses all aspects of student development during the critical secondary education years.
We cover 100% of school fees, boarding costs, and examination fees for all sponsored students. Additionally, we provide complete sets of learning materials including textbooks, stationery, and laboratory equipment where needed.
Each student is paired with a dedicated mentor who provides academic guidance, career counseling, and personal support. Regular mentorship sessions help students navigate academic challenges and plan for their future.
We offer supplementary tutoring in key subjects, exam preparation workshops, and study skills training. Our academic support ensures students maintain strong performance throughout their secondary education.
Through workshops, seminars, and practical activities, we develop students' leadership skills, teamwork abilities, and ethical decision-making capabilities. These skills prepare them for future roles in their communities and professions.
Our comprehensive life skills curriculum covers financial literacy, health education, communication skills, time management, and conflict resolution. These essential skills prepare students for independent living and adult responsibilities.
For students aspiring to higher education, we provide specialized support including university application assistance, scholarship guidance, entrance exam preparation, and campus visit opportunities.
