Empowering Women Through Poultry Farming: Trust and Care Rwanda's Project Sees Success in Bugesera
Trust and Care Rwanda proudly reports significant progress in its women's empowerment initiative through poultry farming. Since launching last year, this project has made strides in improving the lives of women in underserved areas by providing essential resources for sustainable livelihoods. At Trust and Care Rwanda, we believe that empowering women is key to creating long-term resilience and community development.
Project Success
Over the past year, the initiative has equipped women in Bugesera District with 650 healthy chickens, 20 goats, and 2 pigs, laying a solid foundation for economic independence and stability. The project has given these women the tools to establish sustainable poultry farms, ultimately promoting self-sufficiency and strengthening their roles within their communities.
Future Goals
Looking ahead, Trust and Care Rwanda is committed to expanding this project, reaching more women and furthering the impact on community resilience. Plans are underway to evaluate the outcomes of the current initiative, with insights set to inform future expansions. By empowering women to build financial stability through poultry farming, Trust and Care Rwanda aims to inspire broader community transformation.
Together with the community, Trust and Care Rwanda is driven by the vision of fostering change, enabling women to unlock their full potential, and continuing to uplift those who need it most.
