Trust and Care Rwanda (TCR) is supporting students in various technical schools (TVET) training initiative aimed at supporting out-of-school and stranded youth to acquire practical, marketable skills in key trades, including tailoring, construction, ICT, video production and filming, and hairdressing.
Our Vocational Training Program addresses the critical need for practical, market-relevant skills among Rwanda's youth, particularly those who are out of school or facing barriers to traditional education pathways.
The program is designed to equip participants with competencies that enable them either to secure gainful employment or to establish and manage their own enterprises. Complementary interventions include entrepreneurship training, career guidance, and mentorship to ensure sustainable livelihoods for beneficiaries. TCR has established strategic partnerships with local businesses to facilitate practical training, apprenticeship opportunities, and market linkage for graduates. Additionally, the organization has formalized collaborations through Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with IPRC Kigali and Fondazione Marcegaglia Plus, laying the foundation for future joint ventures in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and other skills development initiatives.
Our program goes beyond technical skills to provide holistic support for sustainable livelihoods.
Hands-on, practical training conducted by experienced professionals in each trade. Training includes both theoretical knowledge and extensive practical application.
Comprehensive business skills development including business planning, financial management, marketing, and customer relations to prepare graduates for self-employment.
Individualized career counseling and ongoing mentorship from industry professionals to guide graduates in their career paths and business ventures.
